Gregg Schmedes is a proven leader, committed to representing the values of the District 22.
Gregg is actively engaged in improving healthcare in New Mexico.
He has worked with many local business leaders to improve the economy.
Gregg is currently New Mexico’s Director for the American Academy of Medical Ethics.
He attended college at the University of Texas, majoring in Electrical Engineering and ran Track & Field for the Longhorns. He met his wife Kelly there, the two marrying immediately after graduation. Gregg then graduated medical school from Texas Tech University, where was President of his class.
Before moving to Albuquerque, the Schmedes spent two years in Cameroon, Africa with Samaritan’s Purse, teaching the next generation of African surgeons.
The Schmedes are active members of their local church in Cedar Crest.
